Christmas Message

Christmas Message from Fr Paul, December 2021

Dear Friends

It has been another difficult year with the Covid situation, and there is still much uncertainty with regards to possible further restrictions. Added to that, it can often feel like the national news brings little cheer, and we often look for chinks of light within the gloom. Christmas is a time of hope and celebration. Hope, for a better world and a renewal of the world in which we live. Hope, that the kingdom of God will continue to be established through the teachings of Jesus. His birth, which we celebrate this Christmas tide reminds of our own vulnerability as he was born not into riches but into poverty and uncertainty. But with that he brought a message of hope, reconciliation, peace, compassion and love. The birth of one lowly vulnerable infant has changed the world forever! Jesus is the light slowly penetrating the gloom! From myself, Rev Amanda, the ministry team and the Church office and everyone at St Paulinus Church may the peace, joy and blessings of the Christ Child be with now and in the months to come!

A very merry and peaceful Christmas

Fr Paul, Rector, St Paulinus Crayford
